Biology In Motion

Some concepts are just better explained with animated assistance. While many teachers have access to websites like BrainPop, it still requires an account and a yearly membership fee. Recently I came across Biology In Motion a site that uses simple flash videos to demonstrate simple biology concepts. I would like to point out a major difference – this site is dedicated to Biology and BrainPop provides content for multiple areas.

I would recommend first introducing the site to students with a projector rather than sending them to the link. Once you open an animation page, the cartoons are surrounded by Google Ads, making it very easy for a student to become lost or distracted by other websites.
